HALUSKI (serves 6-8)

12 ounces Manischewitz extra wide egg noodles

2 sticks Salted butter

3 Onions, peeled and thinly sliced

8 cups Cabbage, thinly sliced

Melt one stick of butter in 12" sauté pan over medium low heat. Add cabbage and onions and stir. Cover with lid, cook for 3-4 minutes to soften vegetables.

Add a layer of salt  and pepper and stir. Continue cooking for 15 minutes or more until the vegetables are slightly browned, reduced in volume, and sweet & tender. Taste and add more salt and pepper as needed.

Cook egg noodles until al dente, according to package directions, then drain.

Melt second stick of butter. Combine noodles, cabbage mixture, and butter. Serve immediately, but also can be made ahead and rewarmed. Enjoy!
